Jorge H. Figueroa was born in San Juan, PR and raised in Puerto Rico’s public housing projects.  Coming from humbled beginnings, education was always an integral part of his life.  In 1991 at the age of 16 Jorge moved to Racine, Wisconsin to learn English, but enjoyed the quality of the educational system and decided to stay; graduating from Jerome I. Case High School in 1993.  His parents and younger brother and sister followed a year later.  Jorge completed a B.S. in Finance and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and ten years later a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Global Management from the University of Phoenix in Milwaukee. 

 

 

In 2013 Jorge moved to Orlando, looking for a fresh start.  In 2014 he was introduced to the media industry and the idea of JF Media LLC was born.  In 2017 he finally registered Omicron Business Group LLC Dba JF Media LLC; a one stop advertising agency specializing in radio, television, digital and social media; as well as the production of commercials for all media platforms, strategy consulting and media buying at the national and international level. Prior to getting into marketing Jorge spent eight years in the mortgage industry as a due diligence underwriter, loan originator and branch manager.  He also has 5 years of experience as an admissions counselor for three universities where he assisted many students in their pursue of a higher education.

Jorge is committed to helping the underserved and underprivileged communities through his involvement in several organizations since his college days.  Aside from being President of the PRCCCF, Jorge serves in the Osceola County Housing Finance Authority, and is the Chairperson of Working for Florida.  Jorge is also one of the founders of the Omicron chapter of Omega Delta Phi Fraternity Inc. at UW-Parkside; a Latino community service-oriented fraternity founded in Texas Tech University.  He’s married to Bilda Acevedo and has two stepdaughters, 18-year-old Lemishka Rodriguez, and 13-year-old Aneishka Gonzalez.  Jorge is a devoted family man and an avid sports fan who enjoys traveling, learning new things, and serving others in need.
